Sunday at the Movies – Top 10 Anticipated Films of 2015

I didn’t make it out to the movies as much as I would have liked in 2014. But with so many great movies coming out in 2015, I’ll probably make it more this year (hopefully). Here are my top 10 (and few more) anticipated films of 2015:

Avengers: Age of Ultron (May 1, 2015)

The Marvel Cinematic UNiverse has been fantastic and full of winners and the second Avengers flick promises to continue that track record. Plus, James Spader as Ultron!

Spectre (Nov. 6, 2015)

I’m a sucker for the Bond franchise and I adore Daniel Craig as James Bond. And I’m really excited to see how they take on the Spectre organization. Since the movie doesn’t release until the end of 2015 there are no trailers yet, but here’s the video of the big announcement.

Furious 7 (Apr. 3, 2015)

The Fast and Furious movies get more and more ridiculous but the also get more and more fun.  When they added The Rock to the franchise in Fast Five, I was all over that! This next installment once again has The Rock and it has cars dropping from a plane? Hell yes. Although, seeing Paul Walker may be bittersweet.

Ant-Man (Jul. 17, 2015)

Because its in the Marvel Cinematic Universe…enough said.

Cinderella (Mar. 13, 2015)

I’m a sappy girl and always love a good fairy tale. Plus the prince is Robb Stark!

Tomorrowland (May 22, 3015)

I really don’t know much about this movie but because its from Brad Bird (The Incredibles, Iron Giant), I am intrigued.

Serena (Mar. 27, 2015)

I was not overly fond of the book, but the title character is fascinating.  To see Jennifer Lawrence bring that woman to life is bound to be intriguing. Especially since Lawrence has a great track record with some crazy ladies.

Kingsman: The Secret Service (Feb. 13, 2015)

Colin Firth kicking ass? Yes please!!!

Crimson Peak (Oct. 16, 2015)

Guillermo del Toro is a creative genius and Crimson Peak is definitely within the genre he loves.  I’m not a big fan of horror and scary stuff, but if he’s involved I am all in. No teasers are out yet, but you can get a sense of the feel of the movie from this clip:

The Jungle Book (Oct. 9, 2015)

This is another movie I really don;t know too much about but it has the voice talents of Idris Elba, Bill Murray, Christopher Walken, Scarlett Johanson, Ben Kingsley, and more. Plus, it’s directed by Jon Favreau. So, I’m looking forward to it.

And here’s some more films, just because:

  • Minions
  • Entourage
  • Jurassic World
  • Selma
  • Pan
  • Terminator Genisys
  • Inside Out
  • Pitch Perfect 2
  • Strange Magic
  • The Walk

So what are you most looking forward to seeing this year?
