Meghan and Jo Do Comic Con

I’m returning to Comic Con International: San Diego after a two year hiatus. This year, I’m attending as press to represent the wonderful International Geek Girl Pen Pals Club. The International Geek Girl Pen Pals Club, also known as the IGGPPC, is a group of worldwide geeky friends. Founded in March 2013, the club was designed to bring together the nerd community through shared interests in all things geeky, a love of stationery, and an interest in making friends! Each month, IGGPPC pair hundreds of geek girls and guys with their nerdy soul mates from across the globe, using their ‘Top 5 Geek Loves’ to find their perfect match. To date, more 7,000 geeks have found happy pen pals.

I began writing for the IGGPPC club blog, +5 Charisma, not long after its founding. I struck up many online friendships through the site. Then when I last attended SDCC, in 2014, I went to an IGGPPC meetup. It was there that I met Joanna  in person. She and I became fast friends as we spent hours in line together to “Experience the Realm” and sit the Iron Throne.
