It’s Friday. That means another edition of Five Fandom Friday from geeky bloggers all over thanks to the genius of Super Space Chick and The Nerdy Girlie. Today’s topic: Characters I Would Invite To My Thanksgiving Feast. My choices are below.
Kate and Curran
Ilona Andrews has created two characters that I absolutely adore. And based on the shenanigans in Eurpoe in Magic Rises (and who am I kidding, in every book in the series) I can only imagine the fun they’d be at Thanksgiving. The only challenge would be making sure we had enough food to satisfy the Beast Lord.
Despite the differences between the character in NBC’s show and DC Comics’ Hellblazer books, with every episode I’m enjoying Matt Ryan’s portrayal of Constantine (NBC) more and more. As such, I’d love to have him over for Thanksgiving. Imagine the stories. And maybe even some parlor tricks. Let’s just hope he doesn’t bring any unwanted guests….
I’d love to have Ichabod Crane (the incarnation from Fox’s Sleepy Hollow) join me for Thanksgiving. He’d certainly have some fantastic stories and entertaining lectures to offer. Plus I’d love to see his amazement at some of the crazy gadgets and standard dishes that now make Thanksgiving what it is. And I’d love to have him bring the Leftenant, Abbie Mills.
Tiana is the most hardworking Disney princess there is. She works multiple jobs trying to earn the money to buy her own restaurant and fulfill her dreams. She’s smart and sassy too. Clearly, she’d be a fantastic guest willing to help (need some mincing done?) and have some great stories to tell too. Let’s have some gumbo this Thanksgiving. Plus, I’d be more than happy to let her bring Prince Naveen too. He can provide the musical entertainment.
If you grew up watching Friends, how could not think to invite Joey over for Thanksgiving? After all, he can definitely help with all those leftovers. Plus, he can give us fashion tips for that big meal (who’s got maternity pants to share?).
And that’s my list of Characters I Would Invite To My Thanksgiving Feast for Fandom Friday. I’m sure it would be quite the interesting meal. While I go watch some Thanksgiving episodes of Friends, you can check out more interesting Thanksgiving feasts from these women:
If reading about my ideal Thanksgiving guests isn’t enough, you can head over to twitter and search #Fandom5 to find even more entertaining Thanksgiving characters. Who would you invite to Thanksgiving?
